121!

121

Yes, that’s the number of entries to the 2017 Book a Break short story competition. That’s a 60% increase over last year. Phew! So this is just a quick post to thank all of you for taking the time to write a story and send it in. They’ve all been numbered now and sent to Ingrid, who will surely have a difficult task in choosing a winner. So far I’ve read almost half the entries myself and I’m glad I don’t have to make that choice!

Everyone who entered should have received a message acknowledging receipt. I will also provide a little feedback, however brief, not only in the hope that it may be useful, but also as a matter of courtesy. However, that won’t be till the results have been published here on this website, March 19th. In the meantime, many thanks once again, and may the Muse be with you. (Even though she’ll surely leave you to do the hard slog all by yourself.)

  1. This week it ‘s a bus, last week a ship, you’re mixing your metaphors, Curtis.

    Just kiddin, 😉

Thanks for running the competition as it’s always nice to have the extra incentive for the juices to flow.

    All the best.
